I have enjoyed reading, occasionally posting, and getting an ongoing education from so many posters who bring so much great content to this board. This is one of my favorite pastimes, and for that reason,I would like to make a respectful request to some of the posters.
I'm not going to name names, but I've noticed that there has been an increase in personal attacks, inflammatory comments, and other content that I feel has no place on this forum. If a post is made, and someone disagrees,or has corrections,or any other pertinent facts to contribute, there's no reason that they can't be civil.
Speaking only for myself,if poster A mentions that Vinnie the Capo was in the Mozzarella Family, and poster B produces info that Vinnie was actually with the Ricotta Family, I have learned something and had an enjoyable time reading the give and take.
If however, poster B resorts to juvenile schoolyard name calling, and provides no pertinent information to support their point, then I have learned and enjoyed nothing.
Again, this is not directed to any specific poster, but I'm sure it applies to a few on this board.
Perhaps we could refrain from responding in any way to these posters, and (although the temptation may be strong) simply ignore them. Just like cutting off oxygen to smother a fire, maybe the best thing is to deprive them of the attention they need to fuel whatever issues drive them'
This is only my personal opinion, and not an attack on any particular individual. The vast majority of the people on this board continue to make it better and more interesting with every passing day,and to you all "I pledge my everlasting loyalty". Thank you all !

Lou you are severely misinformed. There was no mozzarella family or a ricotta family. It was all the same family back in the day. They were all in the Spaghetti Family. Did you not research this?

My apologies to ColonelReb. I didn't realize until this day that it was the Spaghetti Family all along.
It's okay Lou. They are often confused with the Lasagna Family

Finally somebody said it.
It's hard to understand why certain members of this board seem to be in a contest with each other. It's almost like middle school kids saying "My dad is tougher than yours".
Why can't we agree to disagree and move on.
Make Gangsterbb Great Again! And "Finally somebody said it" and that would be a guy from the Burg. Way to go Lou :-)

Otso, don't be upset. Make a pot of Sunday Sauce, throw some of your favorite pasta, bucatini for me, have a glass of wine and enjoy your day :-)

Funny you should mention artichokes NYMafia. There's four of us that go out for dinner 4 times a year. We generally go to Cleveland, Ohio that has some wonderful restaurants. One of our favorites is Luca under the Viaduct, just outside of downtown. A rather high line joint with great views and better food. My favorite appetiser is breaded artichoke stuffed with lobster and mascarpone on a bed of there fresh made marinara. You start out with a whole loaf of brick oven baked bread. It's big round cut in quarters and looks like it's burnt but it's not, it's delish. Their signature dish is Lobster Risotto. A large oval plate filled with their perfectly done risotto topped with a 2 lb. grilled lobster. We take turns picking up the tab, at least a nickle or more plus tip while the other 3 bring a bottle of wine, usually more that the tab. We are partial to Barolos, the King of Italian wines, especially when one of us is holdin' real well, brings a bottle of Gaja Sperss :-)

Where do I send the flowers now that you've killed this thread? Now is that stupid enough for you to just laugh at? Otherwise, not to worry, I'm not a postal kinda' guy :-)

There's no question that Lou is right. However, is my trying to inject a little humor here considered objectionable?
