Jace, I think he's probably innocent, but it has to be investigated. That being said, there were priests, in the Bronx and elsewhere, who abused kids, and no one could believe or wanted to believe what was going on. I was born in the late 60s, and I remember when sexual abuse by priests first was in the news in the 80s. None of us could believe it, at first.

No, I was across the river in New Jersey. But I was alive in those times, and I remember when the stories in the national news about the priest in New Orleans or somewhere was on trial for harming kids, it seemed so preposterous that a priest would do that, we thought it had to be made up. That was the mindset back then, none of us Catholics could believe a priest could/would do that.
