In the Capeci book it says John told rat BQ that the Chin was used by the commission in the 70s to kill drug dealers who were in legal difficulties.

Any truth to this?
Why would other NYC families use the Chin instead of their own guys?

it was a directive from the top that anybody dealing after a certain year would get clipped. Made guys, and associates who were considered close and top guys too. They wanted NO association with babania.

I have heard that Greg Scarpa was giving the FBI updates on the killings, why the FBI let it go is mystery. It is supposedly in the Scarpa files that an investigator named Clemente fought to get under FOIA. A poster here once said they had copy and were going to share them. I have no Idea who BQ can be, someone on here may know.

Remember a few years back there was an article in the paper about a guy who Chin gave a union job too..I guess Chin was banging his mother or something, I forget...So he was complaining that the union wasn't treating him right and this wouldn't have happened if Chin was alive...He told a story of Chin asking if he could borrow his car and he said he had 2 cars, which one did Chin want and Chin said the one with the biggest trunk

It seems the no dealing edict didn't apply to associates. In the book it has Eddie Lino saying he doesn't want to be made . So he can carry on dealing.

Personally, I think Chin's nut act was ' unbecoming' of the top top LCN boss.
I mean surely that's not living anything like a good enjoyable life. He would of been better of staying a solider.
