Family: 'Peter's situation is unchanged at the moment'

The health situation of Peter R. de Vries is unchanged, his family informed RTL Boulevard. The crime reporter was shot in Amsterdam on Tuesday evening.

"Much remains uncertain," the De Vries family shares in a statement. “It will take time before there is more clarity. We are happy with the good care he is receiving.”

De Vries was shot in the center of Amsterdam on Tuesday evening when he walked back to his car after the recordings of RTL Boulevard . Shortly afterwards, he was taken to hospital.

The two men suspected of involvement in the shooting of the crime reporter will be arraigned Friday. The examining magistrate then determines whether the detention will last longer.
