The combo of Amuso and Casso was the single worst thing to ever happen to the Lucchese Family. Those two basically destroyed the family from within. Two bloodthirsty paranoid guys.
And Casso led Amuso around by the nose although Amuso was too trusting and blind to see it. Casso was a prime antagonist. But Amuso was also no good for the borgata.
Just look what happened under their leadership!... the facts and 'fallout' speak for themselves. Bad! Bad! Bad!
And in 2021 the crew is still paying for the mistakes made thirty years ago.
Ducks ordered the hit on Buddy because Buddy was trying to cut Ducks off from the family while he was locked up, he saw this as a massive betrayal from a previously very loyal capo. The contract fell into the laps of Amuso and Casso.
