I do believe these guys Franzese and Pistone in particular like to keep that line of thinking out there because it's "dangerous" for them to be heard and seen, regular people love the mob talk from a guy who has a $500,000 bounty on his head like Pistone claims, maybe at one time but not anymore. It's a good story and that's all. Tumac could walk into Newark no one even knows who he is anymore that has the onions to take him out. It's over men, it's over.

Yeah I agree. Until I hear about another informant or rat getting whacked by the Mob in present day, I don't think anything will happen to someone like Franzese. To start off, he's way too high profile for that.

A no more killings dictate or not, the American Mob has gone soft. WAY too soft for their own good. If they want to regain any kind of street respect, they have to start hitting informants.
And to be clear, I'm not saying I "want" this to happen, I'm just speaking from the point of view of a criminal organization. Violence is part of that life. If there's no threat of violence, any other loon's going to believe you're just a pushover. That's just the way it works.
