Just had this happen while grabbing dinner from KFC. People who don't know what they want when they get to the front of the line to order. There were maybe 1-2 people in front of the person in front of me. He's looking at the menu when his turn comes. Then while at the front of the line, he continues to browse the menu to decide what he wants. My thoughts: 1) you obviously wanted something from KFC so you should have a pretty good idea what prompted you to come to that restaurant rather than going someplace else and 2) you had a few minutes while waiting in line to decide what you wanted. WHY do you feel the need to continue holding up the line while deciding when it's your turn. What were you doing while in line!? He never did have his phone out so I'll give him that but still, what took you so long to decide!?

Use of the term "going forward."

It is especially and frequently stated on NFL related shows. How Stunod! A sportscaster says "How will the Patriots do if Tom Brady retires or signs elsewhere .... going forward? Hell, the sportscaster just used the future tense of the verb. Besides, in what other direction would the Patriots go? Backward?

It's just not sportscasters who use the term. It shows up in all kinds of broadcasts. Drives me nuts ... going forward.

I like watching the weather and planning around it so if a storm coming, I get what I need for a good round of cooking foods that go a long way with leftovers and a bunch of snacks, good bread and treats. I also will play my lottery numbers a few days in advance and not even go out for that. If work people call I tell them I’m not around.

When you order something online, are excited to get it in, and then when you open it up, it's not what you thought it would be. So then you have to send it back, scour the internet for another one, and wait on the refund to hit.

When you order cigars on-line and they look great but when you get them they suck.

I wish I had video time lapse of when I had to travel in rush hour in Manhattan, if you filmed the streets at 5pm when the streets became loaded with commuters trying to catch a train , workers trying to get to bus or home anywhere, you could see the brisk walker’s dodging around people who were moping in groups talking and walking as if they had nowhere in the world to go while everyone else did.

They block side walks, stairways, escalators , doorways and crosswalks.

I just do cardio now but back in the day, I used to ask people if I could work in with them. American Airlines is really p*ss*ng me off right now! I heard from my cousin in New York back in September that my flight for Christmas next month might be in jeopardy because AA was pulling out of the airport I was scheduled to fly in to. I contacted American asking for a refund in September. They said the time frame they were pulling out of the airport was October 7 - November 3 and since my flight wasn't scheduled until December 8 and it was still showing as active, they declined my request for a refund. Well, they're now since canceled the flight and I contacted them yesterday following up on my request for a refund. They called me this time (all our correspondence had been via e-mail prior) and told me they couldn't refund my flight because I canceled my flight and requested a refund back in September. I told them I never canceled the flight in September, that I was requesting a refund because they were going to change my flights due to not servicing my final destination airport. They said "it's company policy that we can only process refunds once a flight is canceled." First, I never knew that and secondly, I STILL never asked or authorized them to cancel my flight because I was still going to fly on December 8 to see family for the holidays. I was still going to use the flight so why would I cancel it? After asking to speak to a supervisor the woman on the phone wouldn't put me on with one, saying, "they're going to tell you the exact same thing I am." I asked to speak to the refunds department and they don't accept incoming calls! Are you kidding me!? In the year 2020, this department deems itself so high and mighty that they don't want to be "bothered" with incoming phone calls. GET REAL! So she finally suggested that I contact my credit card company and dispute the charge, which I've done. They've given me a provisional credit for the flights but it'll take another 1-2 weeks until their investigation is complete. They better rule in my favor because I'm not going to be out hundreds of dollars for flights that American Airlines canceled and I never authorized them to do in September. Talk about a mafia! They take your money and never give it back! 🤬

Irishman, your litany of airline woes is so true. The only thing that motivates them is greed. Airline routes are monopolies in most cities. They have no incentive to be responsive to customers. If you read travel columns, you know that the Number One offender in customer complaints are airlines.

Unfortunately, they're trying to screw me and will probably get away with it unfortunately. I asked a friend who's a travel agent and she said the credit card company will probably take the side of the airline. I did buy travel insurance, which I never do unless I'm flying internationally. That's probably my last recourse then. Just so incredibly frustrating that they canceled the flights without my authorization, now want to refuse me a refund because of their mistake. Unbelievable!

One of my biggest peeves: Contractors whose equipment makes enormous amounts of noise--and then they turn their radios up even louder so they can hear over the equipment noise.

People saying Covid isn't real. It's picked up in my hospital again. The last three nights I've had to care for them. Sunday morning I held a guys hand while be couldn't catch his breath. We intubated him. Called his wife, she said nope. He wouldn't want that. Extubated him. Died within ten seconds. The worst was the patient I had for the last two nights. they signed a dnr/do not intubate this morning because her paperwork was lost. They were so upset that they wore masks and followed all of the guidelines and wanted to know why all of these people that don't wear masks aren't dying. I confessed that I never wear a mask outside of work and promised them I would from here on out. It's real people. I still don't think shutting everything down is the solution. What happens when you hold a piss or shit in? It doesn't magically go away.
