Well, Larry King is gone. Maybe no one told him. As of this morning, he's still doing infomercials.

Cloris Leachman has passed at age 94.
Signor V.

The legendary Sonny Fox died January 24 at age 95 from COVID-related pneumonia. Baby-boomers growing up in the NYC area in the 1950's and 1960's knew the name - he hosted Wonderama, Just For Fun and other game shows. He was also a philanthropist, and I believe at one time he was president of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. He was from Brooklyn and attended my neighborhood high school - James Madison HS. He was quite active and vigorous well into his nineties. I just noticed this on the Internet. I don't believe it got any mention on any of our local newscasts here. Damn shame. In my youth I became unbeatable at "Simon Says" because of him. R.I.P. Sonny Fox. Signor V.

Updated the lists w/ Leachman, Tyson, and Holbrook -- XDCX had all 3 to take the lead!
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations

Hal Holbrook passed away. I remember him playing Lincoln a long time ago but the articles talk about him portraying Mark Twain. Hal Holbrook was unique in that he performed his one-man show Mark Twain Tonight! for over sixty years, on and off. It was made into a TV special on CBS back in 1967 and you can find it on YouTube. He finally retired it when he was 92. In the beginning, back in the late 1950's he was in his early 30's and used to spend three hours painting his face to appear to be Twain at 70. Over time, he used less and less makeup until he eventually used just a false nose along with a moustache and eyebrows. His own white hair took the place of the wig and he certainly didn't need the age paint anymore. I am (or was) a theatrical makeup artist and I've been teaching makeup at college level for over 40 years. One of my lessons uses Holbrook's Twain makeup as an example of how to create the illusion of aging on a young performer for live theatre. I've written quite an interesting paper on this, if I may be allowed a bit of immodesty. Signor V.

Yep, you picked him. You should also be credited for Haya Harareet who died last month. Signor V.

Anyone have Yaphet Kotto? No, it doesn't appear so. Nor did anyone pick actor Henry Darrow who passed away March 14th at age 87. I remember him from the 1960's TV Western series "The High Chaparral," though his career lasted more than half a century including roles on the soap opera "Santa Barbara" and Disney's "The New Zorro" series.
