Great interview and Pennisi comes across as very believable. Pennisi never mentions how tough he was or how feared he was like some other pod casts.
What was interesting was the strip club story where they got roughed up by a bunch of west side guys. Its interesting how that west side capo made one phone call and within an hour 20 guys show up to start bustin heads. Pretty inpressive that he had that many willing and able guys at his disposal.
He also talks about a restaurant in brooklyn. I wonder which one it was?

He's being coy right now and not getting into deep discussions about "his" activities, or "associates" per se. He's talking in generalities. I think that's because of prosecutors admonishing his talking on his blog, and the info he's spewing presently.

But once he's used up his usefulness to the G, he'll be able to talk more openly. Right now I think they had him under a half a gag order.

He also mentions a few occasions where he randomly met with made guys from the Lucchese Family after he became an informant. I 'm surprised he would stay in the area.

Great interview. In a strange way, Pennisi almost comes across as a nice guy.
I read a blog with Penissi where he was told the Lucchese’s do not recognize Merlino as boss of Philly.
Its also interesting how he says John Alite was in danger of getting hurt because he was showing up at NJ casino’s and elsewhere. He also implies that Alite got beat up at a restaurant.

I would say that alleged Consigliere Andrew DeSimone is the main Bronx faction leader over the 2 Bronx crews. Thats if there are still 2 Bronx Crews anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if after Crea and company's downfall they might have put everyone in the Bronx under 1 Capo.

In the itw, he mentions a Lucchese Capo whom he had a sit down with over a guy who wouldn't pay a loanshark debt. He said the Capo was from the other side.

I don't know any current capo in the Lucchese Family who is an Italian native. Do you know who that might be ?

Ive been posting about Skinny not being recognized by some NY families years ago and many many times , not just not recognized but disliked and also hits put out on him .Now of course a few years back it came out . But it just goes to show you how fucked up the life is when New York they cant get a hit done on a Philly self proclaimed boss .

Same thing with how guys run there mouth to chicks ... i found out more top level shit in less then a week and 100% was all from the girls ...they just didn’t take how serious the stuff they were repeating.

The neighborhood knew as soon as it was herd who was who and what was what ... proving it was a totally different thing.

Not really that strange. Merlino has always had some sort of backing from the Genoveses (apart from the short period after Natale flipped).

That's news to me. I'm guessing it goes back to when Amuso and Scarfo were jailed together and Scarfo was trying to take over the Family through his son.

The Lucchese Family has a big NJ faction which is pretty close to the Philly Family. I remember seeing a recent picture of one of the Perna kids with some Philly made guys. So it must be weird for the Lucchese guys to interact with Philly guys but not recognize their boss.

Pennisi said he had been invited by Joey Perna to go to a party and meet Merlino. John Castelucci then told Pennisi he couldn't go because the family wasn't recognising Merlino as the boss. Pennisi then found out that, after telling him not to go, Castelucci went to the party himself.

The story about the beef between the Bonanos and the Luccheses is great. I've never heard it before and it sounds like a pretty big deal. Basically, Matty Madonna said the Lucchese didn't recognize Mickey Mancuso as Boss which infuriated the Bonnanos. So they send a large group of guys, including capos and made guys to the main Lucchese social club in the Bronx in order to confront Madonna and Crea.

He also tells an interesting story about Ralph DeLeo and Vito Guzzo. I must say i didn't understand everything about that story so if someone can explain it it'll be great. It's about someone getting made in jail.

He talks about the Merlino dinner and his association with Tall Pete Inzerillo.

Why is this guy talking ? Does he have a book deal ? Why is he making all these enemies beyond whatever he did to stay out of the joint .

I like him much better than the other knucklehead who has a podcast. Pennisi sounds ok and has good insight.
