Ignoring the earlier racketeer period of the 1920s through the 1950s era mobsters. In recents years and decades, say for guys active between the early 1960s up through today, What "crew" of guys, what Family in either the NYC/NJ areas in your opinions have done the most years in prison?

Was is the Gambino's or Genovese? The Colombo or Bonanno crews? The Lucchese or DeCavalcante mobs?........ I'd like to see which particular mob figures, as well as which "crews" and/or Families got buried under prison time the worst?

Name 20 individual mob guys who IYO did the most years in jail.
Name 5 separate "regimes" who got destroyed by the feds the worst!
Name the single "borgata" who IYO, who's members were decimated and destroyed from the prison sentences they received the worst.

Looking at the Philly made guys who went away for significant terms during the 80s:

Raymond Martorano - jailed 1982, released 1999 (17 years)
Harry Riccobene - jailed 1983, died in prison 2000 (17 years)
Joseph Ciancaglini - jailed 1983, released 2015 (32 years)
Salvatore Merlino - jailed 1986, died in prison 2012 (26 years)
Nicodemo Scarfo - jailed 1987, died in prison 2017 (30 years)
Francis Iannarella - jailed 1987, released 2016 (29 years)
Joseph Grande - jailed 1987, released 2011 (24 years)
Charles Iannece - jailed 1987, released 2011 (24 years)
Frank Narducci Jr - jailed 1987, released 2009 (22 years)
Phillip Narducci - jailed 1987, released 2012 (25 years)
Joseph Pungitore - jailed 1987, released 2010 (23 years)
Salvatore Scafidi - jailed 1987, released 2011 (24 years)
Nicholas Virgilio - jailed 1987, died in prison 1995 (8 years)
Ralph Staino - jailed 1988, released 2007 (19 years)
Joseph Ligambi - jailed 1988, released 1997 (9 years)
Nicholas Milano - jailed 1988, released 2003 (15 years)
Anthony Pungitore Jr - jailed 1988, released 2006 (18 years)

So that's about a third of Philly's total membership at that time (and most of it's younger, more active membership) going away for an average of 20 years. Plus all the guys who flipped.

Fusco got a bad rap. 25 years for shit.... that because the judge was "judgmental" and not evenhanded to sentence ONLY for the crimes he was convicted of. Unfortunately, it happens quite often.

And Manna also got buried. What? 60years or something?, 80 years?

And that was largely because of Nicky Scarfo's rule. The sheer fear and suspicion he put into everyones hearts and heads. And the fire he lit in the bellies of the LE who came after him. He was a loose cannon. And they all paid the price of that lunacy.

But I dare say that the late 1980s and early 1990s Colombo Family fallout from their war absolutely gives Philly a run for their money, Lucchese Family too after Vic and Gas got done with them. Lol
