Ok, i'm sure this has been posted before, but I don't see it, so i'm posting it again.

What in your guys opinion are top Gangster movie comedies or parodies? The ones that come to mind for me are: Made, the Godson, and 8 Heads in a Dufflebag.

The Freshman is a parody on The Godfather. Very good part by Marlon Brando

The part of "Uptown Saturday Night" with Harry Belafonte playing a Don Corleone clone is truly hilarious.

The Freshman is funny. I think Prizzi's Honor scored some points against the Godfather's emphasis on style.

Robin and the 7 Hoods isn't a great movie, but it has The Rat Pack, Bing Crosby, Peter Falk and Victor Buono, and so it's fun at least the first time you see it.

Oh, and then there's Brando in "Guys and Dolls", which I think is a lot better than critics give it credit for.

If you're soured on the movie, there's a collection of Damon Runyan stories called "Guys and Dolls" in print. Very, very funny.

I thought the writers did a good job of working in a lot of good little references from a number of different movies as well as some original humor and it made a decent package. You really can't expect much out of spoof film but I thought this one was pretty good.

"Johnny Dangerously" - highly amusing and rather Beckettian in spirit.

"Wise Guys" - probably the best of the whole bunch. Actually not bad when treated seriously, either.

"Bugsy Malone" - rather dull and doltish, but still better than such horrendous drivel as "Mafia!"...

"Analyze This / That" - weak and highly overrated, but it's there.

"The Gang that Couldn't Shoot Straight" - I'm not sure I even saw this, though I wouldn't mind.

"Prizzi's Honor" - I think I was 4 when I saw this; not even a single frame remains in my memory.

"Spluvy" (? - I may be quoting the title incorrectly) - US mob versus the insane reality of the then-communist Czechoslovakia.

"Oscar" - Sly Stallone's failure; I really remember little from it now. Perhaps I just wanted to forget it.

"Married to the Mob" - as in the above case, I remember very little, but it was a comedy... sort of...

"My Blue Heaven" - weak, badly written, stale "Goodfellas" knockoff, with a traditionally horrible Steve Martin playing, essentially, Henry Hill (this one was allegedly based on Henry's "funny" adventures in witness protection).

There was some production whose title I cannot recall now - I believe it was similar to "Mickey Blue Eyes", but it involved gangsters smuggling exotic animals...? It *could* have been "The Freshman", which also involves exotic animals, but I don't think so - I believe it was a B comedy from the 90s, without a trace of Marlon Brando (possibly a knockoff of "The Freshman").

Speaking of "Mickey...", not even the great James Caan could save *that* film from the horrors committed by that abomination known as Hugh "Divine" Grant...

I was told that "Gigli" was supposed to be a mob comedy, but I certainly do not intend to try for a seance of *this* title.
