I just ordered the movie 'Witness to the mob'.
I was wondering if someone has seen it.

It's suppossed to be about Gravano and Gotti, so is it any good, compared to the movie 'Gotti'with Armand Assante?

I saw it, Willy. IMO, it stank! "Gotti" was much better.
BUT: "Witness to the Mob" had one redeeming feature: Tom Sizemore, who had a small role as Gotti. IMO, he was far more convincing as Gotti than Armand Assante was in "Gotti." "Witness to the Mob" is worth watching--once--for Sizemore's performance.

It continues to baffle me what people see in Sizemore's performance here. I thought Assante nailed it. And whether or not he was more like Gotti, I still consider him a more talented actor, at least when comparing these two roles.

Haven't seen it in a while. I remember liking it though.

I've seen it once. My thoughts on it are (and I wrote these the day I watched it, so can be seen as, if not without corroboration, unreliable): Despite finding the perfect choice in Tom Sizemore as the bold Gotti, it falls short at every other angle.

I've seen it plenty of times, and I still think it's a great tv movie. Gotti is better imo, and Assante did a better job than Sizemore. What I like about Witness To The Mob are specific scenes, and not the movie as a whole.

I remember watching it when it was on TV. I liked it very much. You will enjoy it.

I woke up this morning with nothing to do and went to bed with only half of it done.

Actually Turnbull is right. As much as I love Assante in "Gotti" I must admit that Siezmore, in "Witness To The Mob" really played a better Gotti.

But not by much. :p

Don Cardi cool

Five - ten years from now, they're gonna wish there was American Cosa Nostra. Five - ten years from now, they're gonna miss John Gotti.
