I just brought The Cooler on DVD starring William H. Macy and wondered what others thought of it. In my opinion its one of the best films of the year and far superior to Hollywood Blockbusters. Macy was great but Alec Baldwin was terrific as the old style gangster who deals with cheats by breaking their kneecaps(classy). I have never been a major fan of his but I am now, please Alec choose these types of roles more often rather then rubbish like Cat in the Hat

I thought "The Cooler" was pretty good. It's basically a not-very-strong story hoisted by good performances all around. Macy's always good, and Baldwin was convincing as a tough guy.

I was pretty dissappointed in the picture, actually. Good story, and preformances, but I didnt like the way it felt, if that made any sence.

I thought it was pretty good. The guy who played Peter in Office Space was in it, and Ms. Bello got naked, so it could be worse!

The movie was pretty good I thought. I bought it on VHS for $4.99, and it was worth it. I like how Bladwin's character kicked the 'baby'. I don't think I would buy it on DVD.
