Pulp fiction with it's dark comedy, Goodfellas with it's staggeringly realistic well played story, which is better?

You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

Goodfellas I rank higher on my top 100, so I will have to vote for that.

Goodfellas: 9.5/10
Pulp Fiction: 8.5/10

Nice choice capo. I personally have a hard time comparing the two because they are completely different. One is a comic gangster story and the other is a tragedy, but I have to say that GoodFellas is better.

I've been dreading to answer this question a long time. They're both 2 extraordinary and amazing films, but I think Goodfellas is better by no more then .3 or .4--Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Ray Liotta. That's one hell of a crew to beat.-- Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis, and John Travolta. That's one hell of a crew to beat. But I think the supporting actors were just a tad better in Goodfellas then in Pulp Fiction. They both rank in my top 10. -Pat

I found myself in big trouble to pick a better one between these two amazing movies. besides The Godfather, these are my two favorite films, I just don't know for sure which one ranks 2nd and which one ranks 3rd.
if I had to pick one of them, I think I would say GoodFellas is a little bit better, just for one little reason: I didn't find any boring scenes in the whole GoodFellas, while Pulp Fiction has one: (in my humble opinion obviously) the monologue when that guys tells young Butch the story of his father's watch.

Are you kidding mate? Christopher Walken's speech as Captain Kloons is one of the most inspirational cameos I can think of! The delivery of that dialogue is absolutely amazing. You mean to say that you found Butch's bed scene with Fabienne more exciting?

They were both good but I had to go with Goodfellas. It had more of a Mafia theme. But hey, you gotta love John Travolta!

I voted for Pulp Fiction. Don't get me wrong, I love Goodfellas. Pulp Fiction is such a great film- entertaining, great soundtrack, the dialogue is some of the best I've heard, excellent acting, etc. QT did such a nice job on it, it's his best film, IMHO.

Goodfellas is definately one of my favorites. But Pulp Fiction is definately better. It had several stories that had to come together. I don't think many directors could pull that off. That's why it was so well recieved when it came out, people had never seen anything like it, it's totally original.
