Has anyone heard anything about there being a new one coming out? It would make me mad since I already have it, but I would be more happy about it coming out! Any information would be appreciated.

I have heard of no ideas for a planned release of Goodfellas DVD,

Please tell me anything you hear about it because I was planning to buy the DVD.

The GoodFellas Special Edition DVD will come though, I believe the producer mentioned that he did a commentary for the film for a planned future release. That's why in most DVD release lists, like in dvdtalk.com, GoodFellas is always mentioned in the bottom following the "TBA" banner.

It probably will come out soon, so they can make as much money as possible on it. I dont think its a really good idea becuase the original DVD didnt really have any flaws.

I dont know about the special features but I care more about the actual movie than the bonus stuff, I usully never get around to it anyway. I guess for people that want some special features, a new release would be a good thing.

I hope a new DVD comes out too, an audio commentary by Scorsese would be nice.

There has been a lot of rumours around about a rerelease, here is a topic about it where I posted a link to a dvd site that told about it http://www.thegodfathertrilogy.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=8;t=000817 . The link that I posted back then doesn't work, but Mike copied what it said from there. I have no doubts that they will release it again. I would also love to hear a Scorsese commentary.
