OK, I'm sure everyone has seen or knows about the twist in The Usual Suspects. Now, I got it - about a third of the way into it. Everyone I've spoken to doesn't believe me. Did anyone else know how it would turn out, or am I special?

When I saw the film I didnt know that there was a major plot twist, so I kind of wasnt thinking that something like that was going to happen, so no I didnt get it.

I think now, its well known there is a big plot twist in this film, so the viewer kind of expects something unexpected to happen.

One of my favourite movies, when I first watch the movie I didn't expect that there would be a big twist. It totally caught me off guard.

Leonard: I dont know. See, I have this condition.
Teddy: Well, I hope its not as serious as his, 'cos this guy's dead.

yeah and there are two big twist aswell. And it amazes me how the movie can make you change your mind 180 degrees when the second twist is given just seconds after the first, by just refering to pieces earlier in the film. And that is what makes this movie so unique and memorable. It scewes with you and gives you bullshit; but in the end it all makes perfect sence.

The perfect "Play with the audience" movie, you believe one thing until everything changes.

Just to let you know, I watched the film shortly after it was released and was not aware of a twist. However, during the film I began to wonder what I would do I were director (to make it even better), and then I was sure that the twist as I predicted would occur.

Oh right cool, I'm just saying that my brother only just saw it for the first time a few weeks ago, and he knew something big was going to happen, whereas when I first saw it I got toally caught off guard. Well done for getting it first time though

Anyone got any ideas of other cool Movies with mplot twists, that play with the audience?? i can think of Fight Club, but theres probably loads more, right??

Nice thread.

Usual Suspects is a brilliant movie with a great plot, superb acting and a truly incredible twist.

Many a movie fan's first exposure to Kevin Spacey.

I would also recommend Se7en (If you haven't seen it aready of course!)
The ending of Se7en is not really a twist, but it's still a jawdropping scene.

Also "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest", I was not expecting that ending!
Lots more - I'll post them when I've got more time.

I think they should've made the ultimate twist in Back to the Futire ptI, where Marty DOES get it on with Lorraine
