i recently checked the oscar nominations and it was nominated for best supporting actor, best music(score), cinematography, sound, sound editing, and art direction. I think that Tom Hanks had est leading role and Sam Medes definatley had best director. Of course the oscars dont always speak well for the movie. English Patient won like nine and that was the worst movie I had ever seen.

It shoulda got best picture. Skip Gangs of New York! The freakin epic gets the nomination and the subtle classic gets snubbed.

I agree with you. I think Road to Perdition is a better film than what the nominations gives it credit for. Paul Newman did a good job, but I thought Jude Law and Tom Hanks were awesome. Nick Cage? Jack again? No offense but I think there could have been better noms this year.
