Carlito's Way is like the unoffical sequel to Scarface. Of course it doesn't have anything to do with Scarface, but once again Brain De Palma directs Al Pacino who plays a Hispanic criminal in the cocaine crazy 80's.

The two movies were the main influence for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (Tommy Vercetti's lawyer is ripped straight out of Sean Penn's fine acting of Carlito's coked up lawyer)

It was a good Mafia movie. I liked it.

Carlito just wanted a small car rental place in Paradise. Close but no cigar.

Carlito's Way is a classic, despite its lack of commercial success. Then again, most classics are commercial successes and it means that the price of the film isn't much at stores. I think you can get it on vhs at Wal-Mart for like 7 bucks.

Hi TonyZarelli

This is a great movie with a superb performance by Al Pacino. I love it!

Sean Penn is also excellent as Carlito's lawyer - he's almost unrecognisable.

I would highly recommend it.
