Which era is your favourite for movies to be set in?

I chosed the '60s and '70s because of the biggest mafia movie in history: The Godfather

"I won't be a man like you." - Michael to Vito, orginal Part II ending

Welcome to the boards, Paultot! Enjoy your stay, paisan!

Anyways, it depends for me. Mafia films--I like to be set in the 40's and 50's, at the peak of the Cosa Nostra. But, normal crime/gangster films, excluding the MAFIA, just a mob movie--a.l.a. Scarface, Taxi Driver, Pulp Fiction, ect.--I like to be set in the 80's or 90's.

it depends on what the era is for: setting for the film or when the film is made.

i thought u meant setting for a film and therefore voted 40's 50's coz i love movies such as the GF, LA Confidential etc. if u meant for when the films is made, i'd choose 70s-80s (i know that wasn't a choice, but the 60s is too early for me!

I went with 60's/70's. Don't know exactly why, except there were many good movies and I think more "mob" movies were made in that era.

The 1930's weren't included in the poll????

That'd be my vote.

60's & 70's, but not just for The Godfather, for The Godfather Part II also... A lot of great movies like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Rocky, Rambo, Taxi Driver, I could keep going. Also Apocalypse Now

I voted for the 60's and 70's not only because many of my favorite movies are from this era, but I also believe it was a very important time for films.

And BTW, congratulations on becoming a Capo The Professional!
