The movie Heat, which bills de Niro and Pacino, is I think a movie to watch. The action sequences are great. I could watch this movie over and over again.

the best scene has to be the shootout of M4 assault rifles after the heist.

The best scene in the whole movie is the coffee talk scene. The dialogue sends chills up my spine every time I watch it. That scene proves you don't need guns and action to make an excellent scene.

This movie was the first DVD I ever got... I've watched it over and over again. One of my all time favorites... Pacino and De Niro act AWESOMELY together. 10/10... Four stars... And two thumbs up!

This is without a doubt the best 'Cops and Robbers' movie ever. Al Pacino and Robert De Niro are the coolest. And Tom Sizemore is not to shabby! I'm watching it now!

I would have to go with you on that one. The way they say their lines and everything flows so nice, you wonder why they haven't been in more but that's an entirely new thread...

Anthony "Cheeks"... Sounds like a mobster name... Like Tony "Two Fingers" or Nicky "Knuckles... Or something like that.

You know, it's funny, my favorite scene is also the coffee place one. But aside from the fact that these two guys were actually in a scene together and exchanging dialogue, what they were saying was so weird. It felt like they were talking about themselves as their characters in the actual film, THEN on the other hand, it felt like they were talking about themselves, their careers as actors and supposed "rivals." Did anyone else feel that way?

I bought the Heat DVD on sale for about $8.00. It one of my top favorites of all time. Black Gotti is right on the money, "Nice flick. Two legends. A must have."
Both characters were 100% dedicated to what they did in life, but only one follows his own rules. POSSIBLE SPOILER

I wish I coulda told DeNiro "let it go, Louie, let it go."

I agree. I felt the same way. And if you really pay attention to the dialogue, I'm sure anyone else can see and point it out. It's pretty strange. Glad I'm not the only one.

Just watched it and loved it - you're right, the coffee shop scene is superb - Deniro and Pacino have a real chemistry!

Sorry but I really didn't enjoy that movie. In fact it became quite frustrating. Maybe I should give it another chance but it felt like a pointless movie in the beginning. I turned it off 45 minutes into the film

It's also on TBS a lot. Watching it on TV is a good way not to hear swearing, this is true.
