I've not seen it either FH! I thought it was a comedy, am I correct? Let me know how you like it.

it's definitely not a comedy!!!

if you have seen the movie "Gotti" with Armand Assante, this is the same story, only from a different point of view (Gravano's).

it's produced by Robert DeNiro

I managed to catch it last night. I thought it was a pretty good movie. I looked it up in a film guide, I believe it was originally a TV mini -series and that it was condensed down into a TV movie.

Abe Vigoda (Tessio!) as Big Paul Castellano was a surprise. It was great to see so many of our Sopranos friends there too - Vincent Pastore, Michael Imperioli, Tony Sirico and the actor who plays Johnny Boy Soprano also showed up!!!(don't know his name.) I believe there are some inaccuracies and that maybe it was soft on Gravano, but I still liked it. Sizemore did a great Gotti!

I was pleasantly surprised at the cast list too. All those familiar faces. I think half the Sopranos cast was in there, plus as you said Tessio and Billy Batts from 'Goodfellas' too. Sorry if you mentioned him, I dont know the actors name

The film was very easy on Gravano, didnt show much of the 'bad' side. I think all told it was OK but it was no 'Casino' or 'Goodfellas' skated over a hell of a lot of stuff. If it was originally a mini-series, maybe they chopped lots of stuff out? The length of the film we saw, minus adverts couldn't have made no mini-series eh?

Anyway, why do you keep disappearing and reappearing....something we said?
See you in the chat room just like old times

Hi Family Honour!

I'm not disappearing and reappearing, honestly I'm not!

I try and read the boards at least twice a week, but I don't contribute so much anymore. I ran out of intelligent things to say after my first 200 posts. So now I mainly stick to the dialogue games. I will try and check out the chatroom and chatbox a bit more, hope to talk to ya soon. Love the avator, Miss Hurley! :p

Yeah, Witness to the Mob was soft on Gravano. In a way, it's a shame that the movie wasn't made this year, it could then have taken us to the end of the Gravano story with his latest problems and his return to prison. Gravano's biography "Underboss", written with his co-operation is supposed to be very soft too, with Gravano having the attitude "What else could I have done?" to justify everything. Still, not a bad movie though IMHO.

I saw it a long time ago, but I rented it. I liked the cast for the most part. I did not like the chick that played Sammy's wife or her brother.

It was all familiar to him, the farewells to time and place and memory, and he felt no sorrow, no desolation, that finally there was no one, no human being to speed him on his way, only the wind which swept across the ruined continent he could never leave.
