Hey I just watched goodfellas again and a question I always forget to ask is that Tommy desimon (i forgot the movie name) get whacked because he killed Billy Batts who was a part of the Gambino family they said. Is this true and which crew was he a part. Im sure this has been asked but i couldnt find it. any help would be great thanks

and Paulie in Goodfellas was a what in the Lucchese family? and if Tommy woulda got made would he have just been a soldier for the Lucchese family? BTW how exactly is Lucchese pronounced just in case ive been saying it wrong all this time out loud...is it Lou-cheese?

Lucchese is said Lu-keysey. Ch in Italian with an I or E following it makes a K sounds. The opposite goes for C with an I or E following it making it a Ch sound.

Paulie was a Capo in the Lucchese family and yes Tommy being made would make him a soldier. Even still he would have needed permission if he left the killing of Batts till then and he would never have got it.

the Italian C is pronounced liek a soft k so if followed by any vowel it helps accentuate its k sound.

Lou-keh-Sey would be how i would pronounce it. i don't see where the Y fits in (pls enlighten me Turi.)
