Yesterday in my film class, my professor gave us a project. He told us to make a very low budget film. You write the screenplay and cast characters and direct it. I started writing a script today. I decided to make the main character loosely based on the career of John Gotti...The film so far as a bit of violence, and language, but my professor doesn't give a damn. I am having a problem with the plot though. I can't figure out what to do with Gotti's character in the end. I don't want to put him in prison like the real Gotti....Any idea's?

First rule of Fight Club, you do not talk about Fight Club. Second rule of Fight Club, you DO NOT talk about Fight Club. Third rule of Fight Club, when someone say "stop" or goes limp, the fight is over. Fourth rule of Fight Club, only two guys to a fight. Fifth rule of Fight Club, one fight at a time. Sixth rule of Fight Club, no shirt, no shoes. Seventh rule of Fight Club, fights go on as long as they have to. Eighth and final rule of Fight Club if this is your first night at Fight Club you have to fight.

or you could do it like in "blow" where its his birthday and the waiters just comes and bust him or they could kill him with a gun hidden beaneath a sheet that looks like its food but its not and gotti wouldve wished he knew it wasnt.

You could use a Coppolla approach and do something different in the scene in which, (if you choose for him to be murdered) is memorable.

Coppolla used the oranges for the shooting of Vito, Millions of squibs for Sonny, the train and practically the whole scene of Michael killings. Etc, etc.

Maybe the walls can start bleeding with a horrible pack of wolves howling, barking in the backround - just a dream I
had once.

So die all who betray Giuliano

You should have him in a closed bar, and have some guy come up behind him and say, "Sammy Gravano says hello" right before he chokes him with piano wire.
