Whats the worst mob movie youve ever seen?
Please explain why.

I'm sure you have alteria motives for all these questions you ask like our favourites or worst. Maybe i'm just paranoid but I think your keeping a record of who says what to figure everyone out. Or your writing reviews for films for a magazine and want less work to do. What the hell am I on about?

That movie was terrible, I am not a fan of Mob Comedies.

That was a pretty bad movie.It was funny when we first saw Rodney,but with almost all spoofs,they played it out.

Don't get me wrong, I really like comedies and spoofs, if they are funny. But like you said, they carried it on too much. They never do Mob Comedies right, I don't find them funny.

It was OK, not one of my favorites. I didn't like the way DeNiro cried. He is a great actor and all, one of my favorites, but the crying just seemed fake. Maybe that's just me.

My Blue Heaven, I haven't seen that in years, but I think I remember it being funny. Although, I don't know about Steve Martin as a mobster, maybe that is why I thought it was funny. Am I mistaken, what did you think of it?

Thats a very funny movie.It also has the very fine actor,Rick Moranis in it.

Yeah, he was great in Ghostbusters and Strange Brew.

I never saw it, but wasn't there a really lousy 'mob comedy' starring Michael Keaton back in the mid-80's? His moll was Marilu Henner. I remember reviews back then saying it wasn't funny because it was trying too hard to BE funny.

Also there was a kiddie mob movie with a very little Jodie Foster, which was deemed a bit too "cutesy", and that bombed too.

Oh yeah, Johnny Dangerously. I remember seeing that when I was younger, I thought it was hysterical. I saw it again last year, not as funny as I remember, but still made me laugh sometimes.

Bugsy Malone. I vaguely remember that one. It was all kids, and they fought with potato guns, didn't they? Wasn't it a musical too?

I hated to see De Diro cry too. He is one of my favourite movie stars but because of that I found that situation great after a while. I mean come on, a Hollywood "hardman" crying in a comical way was funnny to me. It's not often you see that. De Niro could have put on the real water works for that film but it wouldn't have worked. It needed something more fake.




Hmm Strange Brew, reminds me of a song.

I can't remember any convincing scene where I saw Deniro cry, apart maybe from "The Raging Bull" when he's thrown in Jail/cell.

I thought that that crying (Analyze This) and the one towards the end in The Deer Hunter* were extremely unrealistic and fake....but, maybe that's me....
