Finnaly i saw The sicilian, it's a rare movie, because it's not famous.
I didn't had any great expectations any more, because some guys on the old forum, geoff also told me it's a disappointment..
but i wanted to judge for myself...
here is my opinion...

-It was to long,
-Lambert played a good Turi Guliano
-I missed The Corleone family, like in the book...really i missed them..
-I thougt Don Masino Croce was different then in the book, more symphaty..
-IT was a bad screenplay, they could do a better job...because the book was great...
almost as good as the GF

it's really a shame, it was such a disappointment, not like the Last Don, because that was really sad, but The Sicilian, was not good..

my rate: a 6,2

True, very true.

I remember asking on the old board what was the film like. I was told I was better off avoiding it, but with me being me I had to find out for myself and did so. I bought it cheap so i've still got it. I think i've seen it maybe 3 times hoping each time it will get better but it doesn't (how stupid can I be). Watching GFIII a second time improved that for me so I thought the same might occur with the Sicilian.

One other thing what you have forgot to mention unless it comes under the screen play catogary is the music. I mean the music was terrible. Half the time there was no need for it. It just didn't work and was just plain annoying.

I think Lambert did play a good Giuliano also and so did John Turttoro play a good Pisciotta.

I remember you from the old board (much repsect) but have only come onto this new one recently so you have missed a few topics concerning the Sicilian here. Theres some good questions hanging around somewhere about a remake, could you trust Pisciotta? etc. I think we should bring them up again.

So die all who betray Giuliano

Yeah, i definately agree that Turturro made a very good pisciotta, but i wasn't sure about Lambert.
