Does it?

I think the Italian-Sicilian struggle against the pezzonovante in Godfather was meant by Puzo to be a biblical like struggle. It's representative of the classic struggle that has existed in every society on Earth. So when the Church hit the West(Italy) the world so did change, and these cute little Sicilians became a micorcosm of much of the world throughout time. So the Sicilians would have to be one of the main peoples of the Western Bible. (And even the Easern bible since Sicily played such a major role in African/Med/Ottoman,etc type affairs)

But yes, I can relate to the idea of 'The Sicilian' parody of Jesus since it is the same author.
