I've finally got round to starting to read it, not finish it. I've had a lot of things on lately, mostly reading other things I already started before recieving it and other drinking binges plus working.

Now i'm only a very minor way through it but I'm enjoying it so far.

What did everyone else think to it?

From everything Carol said while she was here, I thought it was fantastic.....I just have to wait for my copy now to experience it first hand

Turi, do u think they'll make a movie out of this book anytime in the future?

I don't think Hollywood would be very willing to make a huge production film blowing the lid off the intricate shortcomings of ancient church officials and some of the shady mistakes of the Roman Catholic Church. Nor do I really think they sould. I think the story should remain on paper, or perhaps as an independent film.

Although I think the book a marvelous work of literature, and the history of the church no secret, I still see no reason to perpetuate negative connotations about the church to the uneducated public. But perhaps, I'm biased, eh?

Well i'm finished reading it. It only took me two months...... No, i'm not a slow reader. I explained my reasons for this in another thread - basically too much drink and not enough reading.

Well I had about another 80 pages left of the book to read and since i've been bored and hungover all day I thought i'd chill out and finish it. Which is strange for me because I only usually read before retiring to bed.

Anyway without deviating anymore.....This book was excellent. Totally different to anything I have ever read before. Cesare has one cool name and he is pretty cool himself. It's also good to read something that has never interested me before but now and lately i've been researching more into the Borgia. It makes a refreshing change and also makes people think your more cultured.

Only one flaw I found......It was dissapointing when something had happened (I wont say what so it doesn't spoil it for anyone else) and you'd think the answer for it would come later in the book as a twist but it never does. I think I found 3 situations where something seemed too random.

You got the book yet Sonny?

Anyone else read it yet?

Oh and Don Alessandro I doubt it would make it to hollywood and nor would I want it too. It's a great read but hard to imagine on the big screen.
