Im doing a paper about eyeglasses, and I need some statistics. I couldnt find what I need on the net, and I was wondering if maybe some of you "net-experts" could help.
What I need to know is "how many people in the world (percentage would be fine) wear eyeglasses nowadays?"
As for statistics, Id like to see a distribution according to age....I need to know for example, between the age of 20 and 30 - how many wear eyeglasses or contact lenses. (or underwent laser eye surgery)
In short, I need a small table of statistics according to age. If you manage to find such a thing on the net, it would be great.

The worldwide percentage of eyeglass wearers is probably only 1-2%. You have to figure that the bulk of those who need glasses live in underdeveloped countries in which they don't have access to eyecare.
