Hello everyone! I've been trying to get internet access for a couple of days now and hopefully posting this message will work today.

We left on the new Crown Princess ship from New York on Tuesday and arrived in Turks and Caicos this morning. Tomorrow we will be in Ochos Rios and on Sunday in Grand Caymen. Monday will be a day at sea followed by a stop in Port Canaveral on Tuesday. Wednesday will be another day at sea and will will arrive home on Thursday.

This ship is just fantastic! Great service, great food, entertainment and booze!

Oh yes TIS, on Tuesday when we were leaving the port, I had a cute little 'Blue Hawaii' drink in your honor!!!!

I'll talk to everyone when I get back because internet access is very tough, for some reason, from this ship.

I don't like you!!!

Just kidding. Sounds like a marvelous time. Wish I was there. But then again, I wish I was anywhere but work. My daughter wants to try a cruise one of these days so we might go in about 2-3 years. But we'll go in winter, when it's 25 degrees here and 90 in the shade on the islands.

Enjoy, DC.
I spent my honeymoon in Ocho Rios 15 years ago. It's beautiful. Hope you make it to the falls.

DC, have you bankrupted the casino yet? Or are you just working on demolishing the bar?

Oh, the cute little blue drink was just for the party on the first day of leaving port. It's been Crown Royal the rest of the way!

Yeah, that Jimmy Buffett guy, he gets around these islands, huh?

Hmmmm, it's been a bit of both. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I demolished the bar. Then on Thursday I hit the casino. I didn't quite demolish it, but I had a pretty good night there. Right now I'm up about $1100 between playing roulette and the keno machine.

Not doing a bad job of demolishing the restaurant where we have dinner either.

The matr'd of the restaurant is out of control. The first night I slipped him a $100 bill. So far every night since he has made us 'special dishes' that are NOT on the menu. He's buried us with platters of Prisciuttuo, Fresh Mozzarella, Melon and Italian cheeses. Not to mention the escargot and shrimp platters along with the calamari fritti platters. Two nights ago he made us Spaghetti alio oil in addition to the platters that I mentioned above. Last night he made us a Rissotto that was out of this world. He gave us so many courses that were not on the dinner menu that I canceled my main course because there was no way that I could eat it.

It was funny because several tables that were sitting around us kept looking and saying to each other " Look what they got, I didn't see any of that on the menu, did you?" LOL!

Turks was absoluteyl beautiful. We went onto to Ochos Rios today, and while they have some really beautiful sights that are breathtaking, I have to say that I could really do without the constant hounding by the locals asking if you want to buy shit from them or want a tour. They continuously hound you as you are walking.

But otherwise the place is really beautiful.

Looking forward to Grand Caymen tomorrow as I hear that it is just breathtaking.

Oh, JJ, I officially nominate PLAW as my fill in as furor while I am gone. We need some balance here and hopefully while he fills in he will be able to swing you over to the dark side! LOL!

Later everyone, the bar is calling!

If nominated I will not run. If elected, I will not serve.

Hey, I'm away on vacation too, and trying to avoid all the political chit-chat.

Besides, my hands are too full with the important stuff - like keeping up with my fantasy teams - to have time to worry about politics.

Let's keep things in their proper perspective here.

Glad to hear you're having a good time, though DC.

DC, Glad that you're having a fun time. I love cruises, too. And what do you mean you stopped them from bringing your main course??? The food is one of them main reasons to cruise!!

Yesterday we went to Grand Caymen! Oh boy, words just cannot describe how beautiful it really is!

While we were on the beach I kept asking my wife " Is this heaven?" LOL! The place is just breathtaking!!!!

My kids and I rented Jet Skis while on the beach and really had a blast.

Thanks to all who've replied here wishing me a good time.

SC - I'll swap the pounds that you've gained just from reading my post for the pounds that I've probably gained here for real.

PLAW - Hope that you are having a great time too! Since leaving on the cruise last Tuesday, I have YET to turn on the news. I refuse to even look at ANYTHING on the news that relates to world politics, etc. Screw that shit.
Yeah, roulette, a game of chance. And if you read my last post that game of chance had me + $1100. Last night I won another $470 playing it. So I guess that I'll just keep taking my chances. LOL!

SB- The matr'd is just out of control. Last night we had to ask him to slow down with the extra food perks. The guy is treating us like royalty.

TB- The head waitress asked my if I wanted to go into the restaurant business. I told her " Ahh, uhhh, I dunno. Wadda I know about the restaurant business? All I know how to do is order." LOL!

Today we are at sea and heading back north ( Cardi wipes a tear from his eye). Tomorrow we'll make a stop in Port Canaveral and then will head back home to port by Thursday (Cardi really crying now!)

Gonna head up to the pool now and have a few cute little blue drinks and just relax.

Thanks again to all who responded here.

I'm glad you and your family are having such a good time. Those cruises are so excellent. I went on one a few years ago and we stopped in Nassau (capital of the Bahamas). It was so fun and fascinating.

While I was there, I wouldn't want to think about world politics either. What an irritation!

Anyways, DC, I hope you and your family have a safe trip home!

If you get stung by a jellyfish, just have your children urinate on the wound like Michael Douglas claimed he did when he was stung on his back.

Breaking News.... (unfortunately this isn't a joke).

Don Cardi's ship is making an emergency return to Port Canaveral (from where they left this morning). Apparently the ship was making a turn and it listed 45° causing widespread injuries.

DC and his family are all OK!

Just saw this on our local CBS news. Someone who is a passenger on the ship phoned in to the newscast and gave an update. The ship is heading back to NY, but there were several injuries. No reason was given for why the ship listed so violently - the sea was calm at the time.

DC, you and your family are in our prayers.

Basically, the whole ship leaned over at a sharp angle. Baggage, furniture, almost anything that wasn't nailed down went flying.

Our local TV news is treating this as an ongoing story and will have more coverage and interviews. The ship is bound for Brooklyn, so they have a particular interest.

Edit: The ship is now returning to Port Canaveral for repairs. It seems that the ship may have had some sort of mechanical problem that caused it to list. The actual incident only took about thirty seconds, then the ship righted itself. There were people brought off the ship on stretchers, and several people were banged up. They haven't said if the passengers will return home on the ship, or will have to get home some other way. The ship will be met by medical personnel when it gets back to the port.
