Heroes: Spider-Man The Punisher Batman Black Jack (Japan - Anime) Deadpool Wolverine and X-Men Iron Man Villains: The Joker, Two-Face, Ra's Al Ghul, and probably rest of Batman's Gallery of Villains. Lex Luthor (old school mastermind filthy-rich genius, not the new industrialist rich fucker with smart people around him) Magneto Apocalypse (X-Men) Doctor Octopus Galactus Irishman, wouldn't you pissed with X3's teasing nonsense with the Sentinels? Finally they appear, but only a pointless cameo.

I do agree with you Irish. Even in X3, when honestly hes given garbage to work with, McKellen still makes it much more than it is through his presence.
Of course, maybe why Magneto is one of the few villains to work so well from comics is that we understand his anger and point of view. We don't agree with his massive plans of killing the enemy in the process, but we do understand his point, which really is pretty hard to pull off, for the most part, comic book baddies just want to rule the world....because, well, because they can!

Oh man, the Power Ranger costume!
Well funny enough, some ideas of it make sense to me. I mean, instead of a non-bending plane flying device, making it more flexible in flight makes sense idea-wise, along with the cliche of making it a military-weapon.
But really, you all know the fatal flaw of it? We can't see Dafoe's facial expressions. Hes doing good work for a good paycheck, and we can't see shit. A pity really...(and really, the movie never bothers to explain how he got his mask! I mean the suit and plane, sure but the mask, never explained!)

Spider-Man, because out of all the superheroes in the universe, he is the only one that lives a *normal* life, has to worry about the everyday problems such as earning rent, his girlfriend, etc. That kind of makes him special, I think, in the hearts and minds of his readers. Batman next, because he's a vigilante-style mofo. But again, he's my #2 because Bruce Wayne is fabulously wealthy, and can afford all those wonderful toys. I used to like the X-Men, but frankly, stopped reading the comics after the Onslaught saga of the mid-90's that combined Xavier and Magneto into a supervillian, and it got stupid. Venom is great, because he is the ultimate Spider-Man enemy. He can't be picked up by the spidersense, and is stronger than Spidey and uses all of his abilities. Plus, his web is organic, so he never runs out unlike Spider-Man, who needs web cartridges (although not in the movie, which is retarded). He's one seriously bad mofo (or two mofos in one?). Nobody can top the sheer villainy of Burgess Meredith's portrayal of the Penguin. Anyone who can trick Batman and Robin into letting him into the sacred Batcave has to be a top notch evildoer. No knocks on Danny Devito, but Meredith was the original, and superior, Penguin man of the sewers.

traditional superhero? Spider-Man and Batman, without a doubt.
but, thinking outside the realm of what we view as a superhero, Travis Bickle has to take the spotlight on this one. I hadn't even thought of it this way until a mere five seconds ago, but if Batman is a superhero... Well, then why not someone who does the same act, minus the rubber suit? (with the exception of flu season).
"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

Because Batman (like Spider-Man) doesn't kill his enemies, he allows the proper authorities to deal with them. Travis Bickle just wastes the bad guys.

Ok, well, I think a better comparison (since you see it like that) is the Punisher. I believe someone cited the Punisher in this thread as well.

John Constantine.
No, not the movie with "Ted" Theodore Logan.
I mean HELLBLAZER the comic, which really has both balls and fucking gaul to do shit that was pretty hard when this was part of the original VERTIGO comics line at DC.
I mean take a bastard of a hard-drinking, train-smoking, Liverpool native who's had a shitty past, with many of his bad things absolutely his fault. I mean damn, a botched exorcism of his send a poor innocent 9-year old girl to Hell. Talk about one hell(pun!) of an origin.
Same fucker then proceeded to eventually trick the devil into curing his lung cancer, and then later help kill Lucifer himself...and of course fight the "holy" angels of Heaven as well.
Better yet, hes recently tangled with half-demonic offspring of his who wanted his soul to feast on.
