Do you guys like this movie?
Anybody who likes it as much as me?
Let's discuss it.

You were right about one thing. I have been watching. Couldn't help myself. Watching, waiting, holding my breath. But I'm no puppeteer Kevin, I don't make things happen. Doesn't work like that. Free will, it's like butterfly wings, one touch and it never gets off the ground. I only set the stage. You pull your own strings.

Mr Reeves doesn't look very happy to be there

I thought it was decent. Really only worth seeing for Pacino, who even then was only mediocre. Hackford's direction and Reeves acting were both solid but ultimately forgettable.

I dream in widescreen.

A decent film that would've been better if I wasn't watching Reeves for most of the film trying to act dramatic. I was expecting to hear this by the end.

Reeves: .....Woa....

I liked it, but didn't understand most of the religious references

It's been a while since I've seen it, but I recall only a few Bible passages, like the "Sheeps amidst thw wolves" one. Otherwise I don't remember that many Biblical references aside the whole antichrist/apocalypse plot.

Forget Heat as the ultimate showdown between two amazing actors. Devil's Advocate was simply a vehicle to pit the extraordinary talents of Al Pacino with the extraordinary talents of...

Oh. Wrong film.

[/b][/quote]When I saw the movie, I thought that the character of Al Pacino was a personification of all the desires and temptations within the minds of people that pushes them towards the wrong path. But one person I discussed this with in another forum believes that the character was literally the Satan as believed in christianity. I haven't read the Bible and hence have no other insight into Satan's character other than that he is a bad guy

I like the movie. It's dark and twisted, plus it has Pacino starring as the Devil himself and he does an excellent job. My favorite part was the monologue near the end of the film.

Plus I was able to reference to this movie the other day while wearing a dark suit to school with a red silk tie. Another student told me I looked like the devil to which I replied: "Vanity, definitely my favorite sin".

My favourite part,too.
I think that the only person who can act devil IS Al Pacino. He was terrific. And also,I think most of the things which were mentioned in the movie refer to Milton's "Lost Paradise"(which I unfortunately haven't still read, but I will). And,Dante's "Inferno",if I'm not wrong...?
I didn't like Kevin Lomax as the angel in the end...it was too much.
But,Pacino...Pacino is
I

I need to rewatch this movie. I know I enjoyed it, in the end, just because of its "darkness". Still I would not count Pacino's intepretation in the number of his most memorable ones. On the contrary, I think it is rather similar to his performances of his recent years. Which is quite disappointing (with the only exception of "The insider" possibly).

Pacino engraved himself as the devil in my memory. This is one of my all time favorite "Pacino" movies.

I have seen it several times, and I think it is a hoot. There are some really cool things to look for in this movie, for instance watch how Pacino uses his tongue...like a snake...also notice that his bootheels are very high because they hide his cloven hooves.

Thank you,thank you!
His tongue,oh god,I wanted to mention it,but I thought nobody had noticed that...Do you remember the moment in the elevator, when he says:"Are you sure?",and does something with his tongue...
Have you noticed the look on his face, when Kevin and him are in court, and Kevin must decide if he is going to call Cullen's secretary or not?Kevin turns around, looks at Milton's face, and he sees...?What?What do you think about that?
