Anyone knows this world famous Dutch DJ?

And has anyone ever heard of a particular song of his, called "Adagio for strings"?

Just asking, because that song is really

Originally by Samuel Barber. Used in Platoon most famously, but best in The Elephant Man.

There's also a trance version by William Orbit, which is brilliant.

On the whole, I like Tiësto. But only in summer.

Didn't knew this, because I never saw one of these movies, altough I've been planning for a long time to see Platoon.

Gimme, gimme, gimme.
Or perhaps, can you provide me with a link?

Why only in the summer? I like him all the time...

I rarely listen to this kind of pounding, melody-driven dance music in winter, unless it's actually in a nightclub; it runs antithetical to not having a tan, otherwise. At the peak of summer, I may even get my DJ Sammy album out again.

Orbit's version will be easy to get on P2P networks, I should think.

Adagio for Strings has been remixed plenty of times and makes the perfect club anthem. It's the perfect song to come up to.

I like the remix by The Rebels of the Enlighted Truth too, altough it's not so polished like Tiësto's. Which stays the best, in my opinion. When it's not played on a dance party, I may call it a bad party for that reason alone. :p

I listen to some. Not nearly enough to be called a fan. I actually like the redone version of "Adagio for Strings."
