Thanks for the answers folks.

The next subject of talk until next saturday is...

What languages can people speak? Apart from your own if you speak english that is!

I am obviously english but i am currently learning spanish and that is a language that comes in handy. I go to spain a lot for holidays and thats where i would use it the most.

I used to be very good at French at school; I would hardly call that knowing a language, though.

Just this week, in fact, I had a passing thought that I would love to be able to speak different languages other than English. I lack the time and patience to pursue this right now, though.

Well, I try as hard as possible to speak English... :p

But I studied 3 years of latin, and I'm on my second year of Spanish. Whoo-ah. When we're eventually overrun by Hispanics, I'll be safe. (j/k)

I used to speak French very well. My mother is French and used to make me watch the French TV news on cable every night and discuss it with her in French afterwards. Jesus, what an awful childhood. I was supposedly fluent at one time.

I haven't been to France for years and have renounced French nationality, as I'm not keen on dual nationality, but I would I like to speak French again and learn Italian.

I was terrible at German at school, and never got into Spanish beyond counting to twenty watching Sesame Street.

Au revoir! Auf Wierdersehn!
