I know there is a topic for such movies just watched but I wanted to talk about this one for a bit.

I don't know, it's just I found myself saying that this is what I planned on putting a movie I filmed. Just the little things that are how ordinary people act in society. Like the conversations I felt were very real.

But that aside, I thought the movie was great and was pretty blown away. I didn't think Josh Hartnet would ever be in a decent movie.

I know people will have opinions.

I'm going to see it today or tomorrow despite its mediocre reviews. I'm just a really big fan of Paul McGuigan's (the director) work in Gangster No. 1, so I'll see this based on that alone.

It looks stupid and corny, though I've been wrong before. I'll probably see it on cable.

This week is reserved for Neil Young: Heart of Gold.

I contemplated seeing it, but again, there are other films on my agenda that look far superior in my opinion. But, I do plan to give it a chance in time.

At the moment, top of my in-theatre list is Thank You For Smoking. Who doesn't love dark comedies?

"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

I understand the skepticism(sp?) surrounding the movie, though I feel like we all have a high level to the way we critique film. And I loved it, I've seen it twice this week. Yeah, that's right, twice. Look at the cast, Ben Kingsley and Morgan Freeman as rival gang bosses? Lovely.

DC, did you ever see Sexy Beast? By the looks of the trailers for this film, the two are nothing alike, but Kingsley may have been typecast after his bravura performance in Sexy Beast.
