I took 2 courses last year one was Latin American history and the other was U.S. Foreign Policy since 1898, obviously dealing mostly with Latin America.

Interesting stuff to me at least.

American Presidency sounds really interesting, is that from a polisci view or more the history of each administration?

The Professor didn't show up to the first class because the department told him the wrong time so I'm really not sure exactly how it will be run. It is under the political science department and its about the President's powers and how they used those powers in different situations. The first half seems to be a history (I guess highlighting the "major" Presidents) and the second half is more comparing them I'd guess

Sounds pretty cool. I don't know if our PoliSci department has a class like that...

*checking*

We offered a class just like that in the fall, but nothing like that in the Spring...

I'll have to get it next time around, if I haven't graduated by then (also hoping they offer the Kissinger class before I go as well :p )

I changed my major this semester. I know it's kinda late, but I was so damn sick of being a Film Major.

So I switched to Creative Writing Major. I enjoy writing a lot more and I love studying English so, hey, we'll see. I have to write a Thesis now, but it can be a screenplay, so I'll probably do that.

~English 310d: American Literature 1900-Present
~English 232: History of World Film
~PSY 280: Abnormal Psychology
~SOC 331: Social Problems and Injustices

The Doc

And you liar, teller of tall tales: you trample all the Lord's commandments underfoot, you murder, steal, commit adultery, and afterward break into tears, beat your breast, take down your guitar and turn sin into a song. Shrewd devil, you know very well that God pardons singers no matter what they do, because he can simply die for a song.

Can I just say that I had the *best* class ever last week? I had a black professor tell me that everything we've learned in history is a lie, that Abraham Lincoln is a son of a bitch and shouldn't be anyones hero and that the U.S. is the biggest terrorist in the history of humanity.

I love caribbean history. :p
