Some die painless. Pain is necessary. If we never felt pain, we would have no compassion. I think without pain we would be pretty heartless. It teaches us mercy. [/b][/quote]JustMe, I am going to take a broader meaning of pain = suffering. If there is no pain in the world, what is the need for compassion/mercy? Anyway no one is suffering. You beat a man, starve him, emotionally hurt him, nothing will cause suffering in a painless world. Infact I would say that compassion and mercy are meaningful only in a world where there is pain/suffering.

This is something ive always thought about. If God wanted peace, why do he create death? Well to find the answer about why there is death, all you need to do is go back to the book of Genesis if you believe in Judism or Christianity. Now as far as you putting peace with death, what does peace have to do with death? Someone can live in peace all of their lives and will still die. And not having or living in peace does ot necessarily cause death. Don Cardi

Simply put, you have to have the bad (i.e. death, pain, suffering, etc) to really be able to apperciate the good in life, otherwise it would all be the same, mundane thing forever.

Here it goes: If there were no deaths, many warriors would've been still alive. I don't like living with Alexander, Hitler and the rest of the gang... Those we have today are more than enough to deal with.

As I understand it, he didn't "create" evil as such, he allows it to happen because of free will, and without free will, faith in Him would be automatic and thus meaningless.
