The Bright Side Of The Road
One of the saddest, cruellest things I've heard in years

Tom: "They shot Sonny on the causeway...he's dead."
Michael: "Turnbull is a good man"
Shane MacGowan: "It was Christmas Eve babe, in the drunk tank"

I was so relieved when I opened my newspaper this morning to read the headline that 12 of the miners were found alive and one found dead. Then I turned on the radio and found that this was a "miscommunication" and that the ratio was reversed. How horrible for the families!! Although any loss of life is devstating, how totally irresponsible of the media to rush these reports without verification, only to find out that there was some sort of mistake. Dreadful!! My thoughts and prayers are with all of the families.

Truly horrible and so devastating to all the family's to have to go on that rollarcoaster of pain.

I know that nothing will make up for the loss of life but someone needs to be held accountable for the communication of incorrect information.

The media is truly evil.

Well, what can be said that hasn't already been said? I feel sorrow for the families, some who thought they'd get to hug and see their loved ones only to be fooled by a slight "miscommunication". I don't know wether to laugh or cry.

Such a tragedy. Having a touch of claustrophobia, I couldn't imagine doing that job.

Cell phones and blabber-mouths probably contributed to premature announcements.

Imagaine what Mr Randall. L. Mclloyd Junior (Only survivor) must be thinking. God choose him over the other 12 miners to live.

How tragic that this happened. I heard on the Today Show that one of the miners that died was going to retire in April this year. How sad. May God be with the famlies.
