I hope your dog stays healthy as long as it can. I personally love dogs more than most humans. Hell, when I hear about a dog dying it kills me.

Part,

I'm a Dog man myself. As you know, I too have a Weiner Dog named Regis Philman. I also have the greatest dog ever named Shammy, a mutt comprised of Cocker Spaniel and Terrier. She's 15 but the nicest Dog in the world. I love her more than anything. Shes had fatty tumors all over her for a while now. The doc says their ok, but shes got a huge one on her shoulders that worries me. I love her so much. She's the best thing in the world and I'd do anything for her.

I hope your Dogs are ok. Dogs are the best. Here's hoping all Dogs live forever.

The Doc

And you liar, teller of tall tales: you trample all the Lord's commandments underfoot, you murder, steal, commit adultery, and afterward break into tears, beat your breast, take down your guitar and turn sin into a song. Shrewd devil, you know very well that God pardons singers no matter what they do, because he can simply die for a song.

Part,

I know how much your dog means to you and your family. I will hope for the best. You are doing everything you possibly can. He may surprise you and bounce right back, although maybe not perfectly. As long as he isn't in pain, that's the main thing.

Good luck Part. Keep us posted.

partagas- im glad to hear your little one is recovering well. at my job, we do surgeries like that on even older dogs. it sounds like you guys r doing a wonderful job caring for him post op all he needs is your tlc, little medical management for his pain and upkeep of that drain.

just curious what they do out in the midwest what sort of pain meds did they put him on?

As a fellow animal lover I know what you're going through now, Part. I'm happy to hear that the little guy is doing better.

I was scared to read your post, Part, cuz this stuff tears at my heart -- but it sounds like things are going well so far... knock on wood, and prayers all around!

But for the record, at least for me, it would take a golf ball rather than a soccer ball sized fatty anything for me to want it removed.

God bless you and your family, and nice to hear from you! We miss your jokes, man!

Part, I know how it feels when a pet of yours is ill. In my opinion there is not much difference when a human or a pet member of my family is ill. Love is love. You don't weigh it out according to the species.
So I do hope and pray that your dog is better and that he will get by. And I'm sure he's ok now! And please, my dear friend, if you need to vent, please, don't hesitate. We are here to share! Keep us updated!

Hugs to you and a gentle stroke to your doggie!

It's not aesthetics as much as simply just something that doesn't belong there.

If it was just about aesthetics, I'd've had my belly removed for being basketball sized!

but a lipoma is just a collection of fat in an unusual place that is always benign and you can tell the difference on palpation between a lipoma and an actual tumor

I see, and I guess you're right. The size of it can just freak me out, even for no reason. (I actually learned a new word tonight - thanks! )

So, a lipoma is the opposite of my collection of fat, in the usual place...

He got the sweetest eyes in the world, Part!
The wound is a little scary, but from your update I understand he's much better and no doubt he's going to fully recover very soon! Please, spoil him as much as you can (no doubt you do!! )

And please, keep us updated.

Oh Part, it is all so sad. I've gone through something like that with one of my dogs two years ago, and I know what you feel!
Hold on. Thank God, dogs recover much easier than people.
I wish all the best to you all and will certainly pray for dear doggie!

So I figured he did not need the 24 - 7 care and took him home.
That is funny Part. I am so happy for you and your family that he is doing better and he is on the road to recovery. TLC works wonders

Part, I prefer to concentrate on good news and it's great to hear that your dog is doing sooooo well! As for bad news, I'm sure your vet is right! So don't be worried about the future, enjoy the moment. Your dog is well now. Isn't it all that counts? Please, keep us updated!
