Al Pacino is set to star in 4 upcoming movies, according to IMDB.

Rififi (2007) (announced)
Torch (2006) (announced)
88 Minutes (2006) (pre-production)
Two for the Money (2005) (completed)

Rififi and Torch (both with director Harold Becker) look very promising to me. Paul Shrader will also be responsible for the screenplay of Torch, I guess it can't go wrong then with a superb actor, great writer and a good director. Additionally I think Pacino still has it in him to give us another memorable performances what he proved in "Angels in America". I hope (as many fellow Board Members) he will team up with Scorsese for a future project but unfortunately, I don't see that coming since nothing has been announced, no rumors going around and Marty planning nearly every project with Leo. Anyways, what do You guys think the movies will bring out of Alfredo Pacino?

I have highest expectations for everything connected with Al, as you must know, but with much more excitement I'm awaiting the release of these movies he directed.

TWO FOR THE MONEY....bah! Thing is, Pacino does such studio generic crap inorder to afford to work money-losing worthy projects like his MERCENT OF VENICE film.

At least he is whoring himself for small arty projects on the side, which is respectable...unlike his colleague Mr. DeNiro.

Yes, Ronnie. How sad. I'd love to see both of them in great movies again. Look, I'm even willing to endure a 15 minutes Pacino's monologue! :p

Glad to see this roster of upcoming Pacino films. I know he is doing all kinds of small projects, including working with young people at the Actors Studio. I'd like to see him do Death of a Salesman onstage.

I am really sorry to see how much DeNiro has sold out with his Meet the Whatever and his Analyze This, That and The Other Thing.

As for Scorsese, in the word's of Sollozzo, The Director, rest in peace, was slippin. Could a bad impersonation of Kate Hepurn by Kate Winslet slipped by him five years ago?

??? You mean Kate Blanchett, maybe?
And Aziatic Yes, I also thought it was just me.
I've heard that it will be only region 1 release, and I'm also figuring how to get it, I don't mind if it will be in the original language.
