Should be. I liked the first two. Ending in a good finale should make a nice trilogy.

Well at the end of SM2, when Harry ( James Franco ) found his father's Green Goblin costume and waepons, I figured that they would somehow stay close to the comic and have Harry take over for his father as the Green Goblin. But it makes sense to take another comic book enemy in The HobGoblin and use him ifor Harry Becoming the Hobgoblin. They'll probably just have Harry make a variation of the costume. James Franco plays an excellent Harry Osborn. Very close to the comic book character.

In my opinion the other enemy that we will see is The Lizard. In the comic book Dr. Curt Conners becomes the Lizard and in the first SM we briefly are introduced to Dr. Conners and then in SM2 he has a much bigger role.

I've read that Venom will NOT be one of the enemies in SM3. But you never know.

My guess is The Hobgoblin and The Lizard.

The Vulture would be a good choice as long as they dont ruin his costume like they did with the Green Goblin. I still refuse to see the films just for that reason. I cant get over how stupid that costume looks.

Nice guy,
I agree 100% with you. The Green Goblin looks terrible, and if anything, looks like a robot. Hopefully they keep the Hobgoblin the same as the comic.

I've heard rumors for the villians in 3 to be either Venom, The Lizard or Chameleon

Topher Grace of That 70s Show will play the immortal VENOM in Sam Raimi's third Spiderman adaptation.
Venom was always one of my favorite villians as a kid, and this just kind of ruins it for me... Not that the Spider-Man movies have been anything great, but could we at least get someone who isn't under six-feet to play the seven-foot tall bulked up beast?

"Somebody told me when the bomb hits, everybody in a two mile radius will be instantly sublimated, but if you lay face down on the ground for some time, avoiding the residual ripples of heat, you might survive, permanently fucked up and twisted like you're always underwater refracted. But if you do go gas, there's nothing you can do if the air that was once you is mingled and mashed with the kicked up molecules of the enemy's former body. Big-kid-tested, motherf--ker approved."

AINT IT COOL NEWS says these rumors are complete B.S. at the moment. Could they be true? Maybe, but the same nonsense has been spread around the internet for MONTHS.

Besides, Topher Grace as Venom? Right....

Is Michael Bay directing Spider-Man 3 now?

No if Bay was directing, Nicholas Cage would be VENOM. Why? Because in Bay's words, its "Kuuuul!"

The Lizard was always my favorite as a kid. However the movies themselves are bad.

I wouldn't say bad, but...."meh"

Really, Raimi's SPIDER-MAN is just that in retrospect of re-watching Chris Nolan's amazing BATMAN BEGINS. Still, at least Raimi has gotten really good/great actors to play the villains. I like Topher Grace, but Venom? Ehh....OKAY.

The Spider Man films don't eve ncome within denting range of Batman Begins. For once I care about the hero and I didn't find myself waiting for his costume to come on.

Nolan's proving to be a great director from his overlooked Following, very good Insomnia, and his masterpiece Memento.

I agree totally DV. If anything, one could argue that Nolan is already a Master filmmaker.....if not now, soon enough most will give him that crown without hesitation.
