Does anyone know if there is going to be a second installment in 2006 (20th anniversairy etc) if so what will the story be? Will Cruise/Maverick feature?

I've seen the original time and time again, and it entertains me even today but it's not a good film at all to me. As I've said time and time again, the only good Scott film is True Romance to me. Knowing the way Hollywood is, Ass-ton Kutcher would get the lead, and Tom Cruise would be in a delightful little cameo.

[/b][/quote]I've only seen parts of each. From what I've heard, Enemy of the State is similar to Coppola's masterpiece, The Conversation, only instead of a character study, it's a thriller. As for Scott as a director, he's pretty mainstream to me.

I didn't like Top Gun at all, although it was funny at times and the reason was I'd seen Hot Shots before, which is a spoof on Top Gun and it all started to make me remember that goofie comedy and make me laugh. As for the second one, I think now that's the right movie to make a sequel for it, I can't imagine if it gets any worse, nor I really care.
