Hey, ya'll can some of your guys check out the GF IV section in the BB and tell me what you think of DeathByClothHanger's plot for GF IV. I made an additon to this and want to know what you guys think of it.
Shameless plug for your wok, eh? Since I was already there, and I'm here now......I really, and I mean really dont want to see GF4 having anything to do with any sort of madren story. There are way to many avenues it could go down and I just dont want to see that. DBCH's plot was the only modern story I halfway liked. I liked the way you're gave Tony a big role, though. But the main storyline of the GF trliogy is the mafia and it was kind of lacking there.
If winners never lose, well, then a loser sure can sing the blues.
In my plot, the mob would have alot to do with the story. Prengeto and Cortovino would be the main Mob players, both of them being in their own rights Dons. The main plot would centre around Vincent, my plot although longer in exposition, is only a secondary plot with an adjustment for whats going on in DBCH's plot.
The return to Sicily by Vincent would have him finding Michael still has his hands on the strings. It also highlights how Anthony is draw into the life, inadvertently and becomes a player and personal lawyer to Vincent, assisting him in legal matters.

I think a main part of the Part IV plot, as well as all of the movies was that there is mob in everything - meaning corruption, betrayal, etc...
There was hardly any "mob" in Part III and it worked well.
And I think there is a lot of "mob" in that outline. I think that UB did a very good job in adding some background to the general outline.
And this is going to take place in 80's or 90's. Not much else you can do with Part IV, you know?
So stop by - it'll be fun to hear everyone's input. We can all add something to the plot! Kind of like Clemenza talking to Mike about how to make spaghetti..
I agree this is a movement back into the Mob based plot, however I feel the plot was outlined is a combination of the legitiment world and the illegitimate world, much in the way that the novel focused on the exploits of Vito in the legit world of entertainment and how mob dealings would be mitigated in these circumstances.
