Has anyone ever had any interesting experiences with one of these?

One of my roommates brought one her mom gave her, because her parents were getting freaked out by it. It's fairly old, purchased from Sears Roebuck in the 60s. When I got home from work last night (around 10) my 2 roommates were sitting on the porch waiting for me. They used the ouija board in our basement and communicated with a 51 year old woman who has been here for 7 months. So we did it again...they actually did it, and I took notes on the responses. We communicated with some guy who said he did not live in our house, and he died in 1969.

I know this sounds crazy but it really happened! And what's odd is that starnge things have always happened in this house since we moved in. The tv in my one roommates bedroom always turns on by itself once in awhile, lights will be on...things like that. So I believe in these kinds of things. Anyone else ever used one?

We had one when I was a child. My older sister's always thought they worked. I for when never got that darn thing to move. I think the spirits are against me.

I never saw Black Aggie either.

I once said Beetlejuice 3 times...

Sorry I don't believe in Ouija boards, I've tried them plenty of times when I was younger but nothing happens.

Actually, they're a bit frightening to me. I truly believe that there are good spirits and bad spirits. Bad ones (just like people) don't exactly announce themselves as being around to do harm. I feel that letting any spirit into your life can be dangerous. Wasn't a Ouija Board how the girl in The Exorcist let in the bad spirit?

Yeah I have heard loads of 'spooky' tales with these things...I wouldn't do it in my house!! I have done it outdoors once in the dark...but nothing happened in my opinion I think it was fun because it did give you an incredible adrenaline rush when everyone started to freak out at nothing lol the candle blew out because of the wind.... ....or was it the boogey man

Yes, I have played around with the Ouija board many years ago. When you get a group together it can be a lot of fun, but yes, kind of creepy. I did once have a "creepy" incident back in the sixties regarding JFK assassination (I mentioned this before), when that was the "hot" topic.

One of my friends one time was playing with it and listening to a Jan & Dean album. I don't know what she was asking it, but when it came to the song "Linda", the record kept skipping over and over repeating "Linda". Freaked her out, cause her name was Linda. She was funny. She got so scared that she threw the ouija board away.

True confessions? Dirty deeds in the dark?

Sorry, I couldn't resist having another Partagas-esque moment today.

I had a ouija board when I was younger. Try as we might, my sisters and I could never get that thing to move, even with a yes/no question.

My favorite urban legend involving ghosts/hauntings/afterlife is the legend of Resurrection Mary in the Chicago area.

Similar story is told in the country classic "Big Joe and Phantom 309."

Yeah, so I am definitely kind of freaked out to be alone in my house now! Especially at night, I am glad there is usually someone around.

That freaks me out so much, because my whole family is buried in that damn place! I am also scared of the mausoleum there...my grandpa and some other relatives are buried there, and me and my mom got lost once inside there! We were on the elevator, and we got off on their creepy floor, it was kinda dark.. Very scary!
