Just wanted to know how many of our American friends have seen the ''football factory'' (Nick Love 2003) and what they make of our yob culture

I have borrowed from somebody who recommended and didn't give me a chance to say no. It looks about as bad as a gratuitous film can get. I see little purpose to it. That may change when I see it, but I doubt it.

I'm from England, by the way.

As a Londoner, I found it very entertaining when we watched it in my film studies class, not brain food by any means, I will watch it again at some stage, but it is unlike anything I have ever seen before, Capo are you a Newcastle fan? what did you make of Bowyer/Dier's antics lol!

I've only heard things about it, not seen it yet. Apparently, Souness blamed Bowyer and will be appealing against Dyer's. I hope it is repealed, because if not he (and Bowyer) miss the semi-final against Man Utd.

At any rate, needless to say, a disgrace!

Welcome to the site.

Dyer must have blacked out during the scrap because he certainly wasn't as innocent as he said. I bet Bowyer instigated it, you know what he's like, he doesn't like non whites.

The incedent itself isn't what annoyed me too much. Sometimes tempers are flared and things go out of control but I don't condone it. What really upset me was the pathetic attempt of an apology in a press conference afterwards. Only Souness looked sincere in his statement, both Dyers and Bowyers were clearly lacking in that department.

Sorry man. Haven't seen the film.
