Did anyone else notice in the family shot at the beginning of GF 3. Anthony is standing with his body facing Kay and his back turned to Michael. Is this intentionally showing his renunciation of "the life", as Kay has always represented a sense of reason. If anyone else has any other observations about this shot, please share.

My second observation is this. Someone in a recent thread posted that Bobby Duvall remarked the reason he didn't do GF 3 is because of financial reasons. He furthermore joked by saying they spent the money they saved on him on a staircase. Is this the staircase he was referring to?

Sounds like good observations...but I haven't seen the third one yet to know! I started it today, though. I'm only about..*cough*..5 minutes through..*ahem*..but I'm not giving up! I can't wait to continue on it, so I can participate in all the GFIII discussions like this one!

lol I'm trying, I'm trying! My parents were out when I made my pathetic start on the movie, but I paused it to eat lunch, and then it was too late...lol They got home, and my mom got mad that I was watching the third, because she hadn't seen the second yet completely. Now don't let her story get to ya...we've been trying for days to finish the second where she gets to see the whole thing, and she keeps falling asleep! Yeah! During The Godfather! Imagine that! Anyways, we finally finished the second, where my mom completely understood it...lol...and I'm already popping in the disc for Part III...and..."Gina, why don't we take a break before we start the third one?" NOOO!!! Anyways, that was hours ago, and I haven't gotten to watch it yet... I think I'm gonna sneak to my room and watch "Goodfellas," because I've never seen that one either and I've been wanting to. (Now I've probably really shocked some members...lol) Don't worry, though, I will see the third one...even if my parents don't want to...I'll make them an offer they can't refuse.

I say you grab a clothes hanger, go into her room and say "Mom, we're gonna see GF III, it's an offer you can't refuse". Then shake the clothes hanger around. She'll get the point.

Godfather III is nothing compared to Part I and Part II. I watched it about two years ago, and wow, I was really disappointed.

lol Well, I still haven't gotten to see it... But I did watch Goodfellas! It's nowhere near The Godfather for me, but it was still a wonderful movie! I loved the "How am I funny?" part...hehe I'm gonna keep working on Part III...
