Hello everyone!
I am new to this bb and I am anxious to read all the past posts and to start participating with all of you. I am a real fan of the Godfather and most other mafia/mob movies. But, my all time favorite is The Godfather. I come from a 100% Italian mom and 100% English father, so there's a funny mixture there! But, for some reason, the Italian part in me seems to be the dominant characteristic!
I have lots of questions about things that happened in the Godfather movie, about the actors, and in general all sorts of things about the movie. I don't want to bury everyone with all my questions at first, so I'll just take this time to introduce myself and to try to get to know everyone here before bombarding you all with questions.
I am originally from Chicago and I am now living in Michigan near Detroit. I lived in South Florida for 11 horrible years and two weeks before I left that dreadful place, I got caught up in Hurricane Andrew--I always said that Florida gave me one heck of a push out of the state!
I am a junior/high school teacher and have been so for almost 19 years now. I teach primarily math and science, although I am now teaching ancient history as well. I am enjoying teaching the history because it is very fascinating! We just finished ancient Greece, starting Ancient Egypt and then will move on to Ancient Rome in the next month or so. That should be interesting!
I will look around this site to see if there is a profile page. If so, I will fill it out so that you all can get to know me better.
We just got buried with an additional 8 inches of snow on top of 9 inches we already had! I love it and don't mind the snow or cold at all. I really hated the hot weather in Florida. I guess that's the English in me! LOL!
Well, thanks for reading this. I look forward to participating and getting to know all you folks in the near future.

Hi everyone!
Thanks so much for your warm welcome! Wow...I feel at home already! I just loved some of your signatures! I'll have to think up one for myself.
My middle name is Pop, of course! No, I just couldn't get anything else to stick for my user name! And, my name really isn't spelled Lollie--it's spelled Lolly! Now, my REAL name is Teri. But, my younger sisters called me Lolly when she was real little and it's just stuck! Now my nephew calls me Lolly, too!
I am going to read some of the past posts on the other boards concerning the Godfather. I have lots of questions about the movie. I haven't read the book, but I'm planning on it as soon as it arrives in the mail.
Again, thanks so much for your warm welcome!
