Dreams are amazing. They differ from person to person, allowing for dreams that can be the most realistic portrayals of human life, to grotesque interpretations of our sick little minds. I love them, and wish I had a machine that I could stick into my brain and record my dreams, giving me a chance to watch them in the morning. Boy, wouldn't life be grand if we could all watch our dreams and take pictures of them for putting on our beautiful wallpapers. I also love those little daydreams that occur when you are not really sleeping. The kind where you are on a bike and fall forward, but right when you are about to smash that pretty little face into concrete, you are taken back into reality.
Now, I would like to hear some of your wonderful dreams. Tell this little internet shindig all about your most personal and memorable dreams.Even if it involves love with underdeveloped animals and your relatives. Don't hold anything back.

Well hello Mob!!! Nice to see you back! SC, that is one great dream!! I've had some doozies. Usually I wake and can't remember the whole dream. Creepiest dream - From the 70's but is still vivid in my mind. My sister's husband died unexpectedly. I was walking with her, consoling her; arm and arm walking toward the casket. As we approach the casket, I see it is my husband there, and not hers. Dream I hated to wake up from: I was getting ready to go out; opened my closet and had tons and tons of great clothes I never knew I had. Every woman's dream. I had dresses, pants, shoes, purses. Man, I was having a great time until I woke up. Woke me up every time. Wonder what that means? Fortuantely, I don't have that dream anymore. There's ton's more, but for now, that's it. TIS

You should see this car though...Hell, it was scary enough just to ride in the thing.. you'd have this constant fear that it could fall apart at any moment. A few years ago, my dad, my uncle dean, and myself, all had the same dream. We all dreamt my Uncle Brian had died. 2 days later, we find out that he killed himself. It was weird. But I'm constantly having dreams, and then having them come true.

MfM, I totally know those daydream ones... it always happens to me in class... I zone out and feel myself falling forward off a cliff or something. I won't have really been asleep, though, like you said. Those are weird. I always have funny dreams. I wonder if I laugh in my sleep. People are always falling really dramatically, or stupid stuff like that. One time, I had a dream that I was on a plane and the stewardesses all broke into song and dance, but there was turbulence, so they were all struggling to keep their balance... Or I was in class, and the teacher got hit in the head with a football and his eyes crossed-- You get the idea. Just really lame, yet funny things. A lot of physical comedy. Then there's always the random nightmare here and there... but I never finish those-- I either wake up, or the dream switches to something else. But I hate it because sometimes I'm aware that I'm dreaming, and I wish I could just wake up, but I can't. *By the way, speaking of dreams just changing, does that ever happen to you guys? It's like someone flipped the channel or something. One second you're in a school gym with your grandmother, the next second, you're in Catalina Island with every single person you've ever met in your life. **Another by the way... I keep hearing/reading that you can only dream in black and white. That is SO bogus. I almost always dream in color. Sometimes I'll think about the color during the dream, like, "Oh, how pretty." or other times, I'll wake up and remember the color, like of someone's eyes, or a dress or something. To this day, I clearly remember this gorgeous peacock blue silk dress that I saw in a dream like 3 years ago. So I know for sure I dream in color. Does anyone know why there's that theory of black and white dreams?

Okay, there were like two nightmares I can remember from my childhood, one was falling down from our staircase. It repeated a hundred times. Then there was this awful nightmare that I usually had when I was having a fever, I constantly felt like a huge stone was falling on me and a God awful feeling like I've lost everything and there is not going to be any other chance. That thing would have happened ten times a night and I would have waken up every time frightened with pain and fever. My adulthood dreams are getting quite interesting. I don't know how it works but I see people that I know in different situations than their real life. I can very much relate to Lost Highway/Mulholland Dr. depiction of dreams and nightmares. I have never seen a movie to picture the way dreams are, at least for me any better than this. How characters are made and how we have some control over a dream sometimes and how it gets out of hand and you somehow start to feel that I remember it was not that way, and this feeling grows and grows till you wake up. Other dreams/nightmares I've had are usually about flights which I'm not gonna make it. Packing suitcase would take me a long time and I can't find my ticket/passport etc. TIS, I've had the same kind of dream closets too! Flipping channels happens a lot to me Zia! On a much lighter note, this past month I had a dream which makes me still laugh thinking about it. I was in a party and there I saw a good looking guy and I felt I so much wanted to kiss this guy. Luckily he came to me and we started to kiss and when I we got through, I felt like throwing up and then I woke up and I was really sick and I did barf! But this whole kissing that guy before that still makes me laugh!

I have 2 standard professional nightmares, I believe all pianists have them. 1. I'm gonna play at concert (exam),it begins in several minutes, and I see the musical text of the piece I am to play for the first time in my life. Usually it has to be something almost unperformable, like Brahms or Rachmaninoff concerto, or someth. of the kind. 2. I'm playing at the stage, and completely forget the text that I must play in the next moment. The last is worst, for I had such moment in my life, several years ago, when I was playing Schumann's concerto with orchestra. It's just a flash of a second, when you remember nothing , then you recover immediately and continue, but it's a scary experience, really, you almost feel your heart stop!
keep your mouth shut, and your eyes open.

MfM, you figure out how to make a dream recorder and you will be the richest man in the world. The closest thing Ive ever had to a reoccuring dream would be falling off tall things, and Ive only had that one twice, when I was a little kid. I fell(was shoved) off the insanely tall slide at the CCD playground, and was shoved off the roof of our house and missed a swimming pool. Who says you never hit the ground in dreams. Most of my dreams I dont remember until months later when I meet them as de ja vu. I hate it, but I am superstious and the chronic de ja vu I am plagued with scares the hell out of me.
