'This isn't a random shoplifter anymore': Home Depot CEO warns retail theft is a 'big problem' as the chain bolsters security, even on small items. What's behind the alarming trend?

I am tired of them calling rampaging hordes of people smashing display cases open with sledgehammers as their friends beat store workers "Shoplifters." This goes way beyond shoplifting, It is a new form of crime though, no doubt. They also use modern technology without fear of being traced. The often coordinate by text messaging, 30 people with pipes and heavy duty tools rampaging through a business is not shoplifting, that is like watching Vikings loot, pillage, and burn a village and saying "There go them shoplifters again." This is not directed at the poster or anyone here, it is the news, from FOX to MSNBC on cable and all the radio reports plus youtube videos.

A shoplifter steaks a soda, or puts an item under their coat and usually does not fight when confronted, with exceptions of course. This new trend is organized and if it grows will cause tremendous economic damage.

Put restrictions on what can be used for communication via cell phones. Text messaging kills people driving cars everyday so why not just get rid of it completely? Its not a necessity and we all survived just fine without it when cell phones didn't have text messaging.

And here I thought Buffalo Bill Mafia and Swedish house mafia were organized crime. It is obvious when they say modern day mafia they do not mean it as the LCN traditional sense. There are many English words that have different meanings. The word Mafia can be used in different ways as well .
