I felt like this warrants a thread all by itself. I'm asking because parole violations, just merely meeting with other wiseguys, seems to be one of, if not the main thing sending mob guys back to the can these days. Does the mob even have enough guys with no parole restrictions to even function? I actually think having a boss on parole is worse than having a boss in prison. At least in prison, you know where he is and where he's gonna be. Out on parole? After a few meetings, a birthday celebration or two, a Christmas party, the guy's already going back in now you gotta regroup already.

Let's add this to your other post of things people should stop saying.

Probably less than 10% of the made guys in New York are on parole and the vast majority of them don't get sent back for violating it. Prime example is the current Bonanno Underboss John Spirito he met with Michael Mancuso and others countless times and it came up many times in Michael Mancuso's court hearings . High profile high ranking guy on parole and he didn't get sent back.

What you just said makes Liggo right.

Not sure how you figure that from what I wrote. Liggio believes parole violations is the main thing sending mobsters to prison when that isn't even close to being anywhere near the truth. He also said any meetings send them back to prison but that's also not always true and I gave a example of a high profile high ranking guy violating his parole many times and he didn't get sent back.

You sure you read my post?lol

I said that it seems to be one of, if not the main thing sending them back to prison. I'm still trying to figure this out myself, which is why I made this thread to get others thoughts on the matter. I'm not really sure if John Spirito is the best example, as his parole ended last month. Could that be why he wasn't charged? But if I'm wrong in my thinking that parole is a major obstacle for LCN affairs, then so be it. As for the meetings, I'm only talking about guys on parole. Either way, I still say that having a boss in prison is a terrible idea, and having a boss out on parole could be even worse.

I believe the parole violations were from 2021 so way before his parole would've been up assuming you're correct it ended last month. I'm shocked personally, a convicted murderer and inducted mobster is violating parole probably discussing criminal business. Must have a good lawyer lol

Some people say that by Capeci releasing that information the feds may be trying to shake things up by making Spirito look like a rat.
