Is there a made man system in Italy? Like for the Camorra? What makes you a member of a Camorra clan? Being from the right neighborhood? And what about the other groups?

Sorry for the typo up there in the title. Apparently they don't allow you to edit.

Camorra initiation ceremony. 1879 illustration of a new Camorra member taking the society's oath. The Camorra is an Italian secret society that still exists today as a Mafia-type crime syndicate. It arose in Campania and its capital Naples, Italy, during the 17th Century, making it one of the oldest and largest criminal organisations in Italy.

In Sicily
The first known account of the ceremony dates back to 1877 in Monreale in an article in the Giornale di Sicilia in an account about the Stuppagghiari, an early Mafia-type organisation. Other early accounts were during a trial against the Fratellanza (Brotherhood) in Agrigento (1884) and the Fratuzzi (Little Brothers) in Bagheria (1889).[3]

One of the first life accounts of an initiation ceremony was given by Bernardino Verro, a leader of the Fasci Siciliani, a popular social movement of democratic and socialist inspiration, which arose in Sicily in the early 1890s. To give the movement teeth and protect himself from harm, Verro joined the Fratuzzi in Corleone. In a memoir written many years later, he describes the initiation ritual he underwent in the spring of 1893:

[I] was invited to take part in a secret meeting of the Fratuzzi. I entered a mysterious room where there were many men armed with guns sitting around a table. In the center of the table there was a skull drawn on a piece of paper and a knife. To be admitted to the Fratuzzi, [I] had to undergo an initiation consisting of some trials of loyalty and the pricking of the lower lip with the tip of the knife: the blood from the wound soaked the skull.[3][4]

Soon after Verro broke with the Mafia and, according to police reports, became their most bitter enemy. He was killed by the Mafia in 1915 when he was the mayor of Corleone.[5]

'Ndrangheta is complicated,it is separated into 2 societies, Minor society and Major society. Then you have 'La Santa" which is like secret society within secret society.

Minor society

1. Giovane d’onore - It's not a real rank but it is assigned to babies born in 'Ndrangheta families, one day they can become full members.

2.Contrasto - trusted associate

3.Contrasto Onorato - literally means honored associate

4.Picciotto d'Onore - Lowest rank , just someone who is running around executing orders.

5.Camorrista - same like number 4,but with more trust and experience, and they are given orders/tasks that 4. cannot perform.

6.Sgarrista or Camorrista of Sgarro - Camorrista with important position, last rank in Minor society.

Major society

1.Santista - first and lowest rank of Major society

2.Vangelo - Also called "Evangelist",these are members that complete initiation, they swore allegiance to 'Ndrangheta by putting his hand on a photo of the gospel.

3.Quartino

4.Trequartino

5.Padrino o Quintino - highest rank of 'Ndrangheta meaning "The Godfather".

There are some more ranks discovered in 2010,regarding highest members of 'La Santa'. Politicians , freemasonry members, secret service members can become part of 'La Santa'.

La Santa

Crociata

Stella

Bartolo

Mammasantissima

Infinito

Conte Ugolino

In Camorra there srent an induction ceremony,in Sicily yes but the ndrangheta have the most complicatedtype of induction ceremony.
Who born in families of long criminal tradition families are inducted at their born, the other must prove their loyality and climb the rank, other if are kust huge criminals or important bussiness men are inducted as santists directly in the major society.

Thanks for this @Snakes.

Btw, Im not sure if they are spelled right but did you even came across terms such as “capintesta” or “capintrito” ? The term "capintesta" allegedly means a boss or a chief of a certain area, while "capintrito" allegedly means a sub-chief who controls certain districts for his area boss. Again, Im not sure if the terms are spelled right or if they really exist. I also have few more examples such as “tammurro” which allegedly means a beginner, followed by “picciuotto” or aspirant, and also "masto.”

The NCO and New Family did have initiations, the Casalesi have their own. In 1974, Carmine Alfieri was initiated in the Camorra as uomo d'onore (man of honour).
